My main sculpting material is clay. In sculpture and in my art in general, there is a clear difference from functional dinnerware ceramics. It is basically not designed to produce anything, but to tell stories. My production includes different shape and material experiments with clay, as well as approaching the material in a new way. However, the experiments are only a journey, the goal is how I can use them to create art works that tell something.
Human is a part of nature. A large part of my work deal with people and human behavior. Ever since I was little, I have observed people, gestures and movements and their mutual differences. Our body is one of the most intelligent and special instruments that evolution has developed. And even now, despite its many attempts, science is far away from complete understanding about us, physically or mentally. We are a puzzle of many individual variables that we will probably never solve ourselves. This perhaps paradoxical point of view is the main fuel to the birth of my new art works.
